Yog Versus Yoga
Yog, also known as Yoga, is the up-to-the-minute cant in all subdivisions of society. Everyone looks to have got been caught by its appeal and the promises made by its proponents. Everyone is looking towards it with the hope of determination solutions to all problems, from a common common cold to diabetes, from blood pressure level to malignant neoplastic disease and AIDS. Can Yog work out these and other jobs of mankind??
Is Yog the philosopher's rock whose touching can free world from all agonies and miseries? Volition Yog convey self-realisation to adult male and assist him in determination the reply to his ageless question: Who am I?
The reply is yes and no.
No, if we are talking about the Yog that is known to the world, which dwells of some external respiration exerts and organic structure positions known as Pranayam and assorted Yoga asanas.
Yes, if we are referring to the Yog imparted by Godhead Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita, which is not known to the world.
The former Yog have been practised by numerous people over the millennia but it have not saved anyone from sorrow, old age and death. It have not helped them happen reply to the question: Who am I? The Yog imparted by Godhead Krishna, however, can not only free a individual from stress, diseases, old age and decease and do him a Supreme Imperishable Being, it can also do him realise that he and all other beingnesses are word forms of Supreme Being or they all are God, not 'I' or men/women.
At the very beginning of His instructions to Arjun, Godhead Krishna revealed that all organic structures are embodied by the all-pervading Indestructible, that is by God. He further revealed that all beingnesses are ageless life beingnesses who neither dice nor discontinue to be but only maintain changing their organic structures birth after birth. If a beingness is an ageless and indestructible God, who travel forths one organic structure to go to another, why can't he salvage his organic structure from perishing and unrecorded in same organic structure forever? He can, states Godhead Krishna in the Gita:
The Purush who is not disturbed by these [sense contacts], who is same in joyousness and sorrow, who is of steady mind is tantrum for immortality. Chapter 2:15
Having crossed over these three properties arising from the body, the inhabitant in the organic structure is completely freed from birth, death, old age and sorrow and attains immortality.Chapter 14:20
The Yoga comprising Pranayam and organic structure positions can better the wellness of the practician like any other fitness programme but it cannot free him from sorrow, old age and decease and do him immortal. As against this, the individual who practises the Yog imparted by Godhead Krishna can be completely liberated from sorrow (stress, worries, diseases), old age and decease and go immortal. He will then halt changing organic structures but dwell in the same organic structure forever.
Yog have two branches: Buddhi Yog and Karma Yog. Buddhi Yog is a subject of the mind and dwells of renouncing the consequences of all actions to God. Karma Yog is a subject of the head and dwells of mentally renouncing all actions to God, while performing them. Godhead Krishna have got asked us to abdicate the fruits and actions to Supreme Being since this unifies us to Supreme Being and liberates us from the chemical bonds of actions.
Buddhi Yog is based on the scriptural regulation that we make not have the right to the fruits of actions (Verse 2:47). Godhead Krishna therefore inquires us to prosecute in actions without motivation and abdicate the fruits of actions to God. To unify with Supreme Being by Buddhi Yog, a individual makes not have got to convey any alteration in his life style and actions. He have to go on to execute all his usual actions and bask all the sense physical objects as before. All he have to make is to steady his mind on the idea that the fruits of actions (success, failure, gain, loss, stuff possessions) are of Supreme Being and Supreme Being is experiencing the joyousnesses and sorrows. This liberates the beingness from desire and the egotism and endows him the state of Brahm, attaining which he goes a non-perishable being.
Those who contemplate the physical physical objects and execute actions with an oculus on the fruit Pb themselves to decease and re-birth:
A adult male contemplating the objects develops fond regard with them. From fond regard originates desire and from desire originates anger. Chapter 2:62
From choler originates delusion, from psychotic belief confusion of memory, from confusion of memory loss of intellect, from the loss of mind he perishes.Chapter 2:63
It may thus be look that a individual deceases owed to a loss of mind that is caused by a concatenation reaction that starts with the contemplation of physical objects while performing actions. Those who seek the fruits of actions have got been called unintelligent; they neglect to achieve peace and felicity and eventually perish owed to the loss of intellect:
Mere action is far inferior to Buddhi Yog [union by intellect]. Type O Dhananjay, take safety in the Buddhi Yog; unintelligent are those who seek the fruit. Chapter 2:49
There is neither mind nor Bhavana [feeling for God] for the ununited, and to one devoid of Bhavana, there is no peace. To the 1 without peace, how can there be happiness? Chapter 2:66
We can also unify ourselves to Supreme Being by Karma Yog, which is a subject of the mind. It dwells of mentally renouncing the actions to Supreme Being while acting the actions by saying within that Supreme Being is (or Supreme Being You are) performing the action. Karma Yog is based on the truth revealed in the Gita that actions are performed by Nature, and not by the beings:
All actions are preformed by the properties of Nature; he who is deluded by the egotism thinks, 'I am the doer.' Chapter 3:27
Therefore, prosecute in work always without attachment; for by performing action without attachment, the beingness attains the Supreme. Chapter 3:19
Mentally renouncing all actions unto Me, regarding Me as supreme, resorting to Buddhi Yog, hole your head ever on Me. Chapter 18:57
Whatever you do, whatever you eat, whatever you offering in sacrifice, whatever charity you do, whatever asceticism you observe, Type O boy of Kunti, offer all that to Me. Chapter 9:27
Thus freed from the chemical bonds of actions and good and bad fruits; the Atma [Self] united by Sanyas Yog, liberated, shall come up to Me. Chapter 9:28
Karma Yog makes not dwell of performing or not performing any specified actions or abstaining from the enjoyment of any sense objects. Karma Yog is a Discipline of head and dwells of mentally renouncing the sense of doership to Supreme Being while performing the actions. It liberates the beingness from the egotism and fond regard with the properties of nature that execute all actions and gives the self-realisation that the beingness is God, not 'I', and so are all other beings. The beingness who transcends the properties of nature and attains God-like sameness towards all beingnesses realising that all are Supreme Being will be freed from stress, diseases, old age and decease and will achieve immortality. A individual attains the Supreme Supreme Being only when he is without hostility towards any beingness – good, bad, holy or evildoer – having realised that all beingnesses are word forms of Supreme Being or they are God. This Bhava of sameness towards all beingnesses is the Supreme Supreme Being that pervades the full existence. A individual who attains this Bhava while life is liberated from birth and death.
Even here birth is defeat by those whose head rests in sameness; Brahm [God] is indeed without defect and equal, therefore they (whose head remainder in sameness) are established in Brahm. Chapter 5:19
He who maintains the same mind towards the good-hearted, friends, foes, the holy and also the sinners, he excels. Chapter 6:9
The Wisdom or Bhava of sameness towards all, which is the Supreme God, cannot be attained by the public presentation of any sacrifices, asceticisms and charities. But a individual who executes his actions by Yog, that is by mentally renouncing the actions and fruits to God, attains Wisdom on being established in Yog.
Being Wisdom, the all-pervading Supreme Being can be worshipped by beingnesses by their several actions:
Devoted to his ain several actions, each adult male attains perfection. How makes each man, engaged in his ain actions, achieve perfection, that make thousand hear. Chapter 18:45
He from whom all the beingnesses emerge and by whom all this is pervaded, by worshipping Him with one's actions, makes adult male achieve perfection. Chapter 18:46
The Yog by manner of the repudiation of actions and their fruits to Supreme Being is the peak Wisdom of God. It can liberate all of us from sorrow, old age and decease and do us Supreme Imperishable Beings.
